Ramayan – NDTV Imagine

Ramayan is a Television series produced by Sagar Arts and airs on NDTV Imagine. It is a remake of Ramayan of DD by Sagar Arts that was telecasted in 1997-1988 as it was very successful. The new version of Ramayan is quite successful and has very good rating. The drama has grabbed plenty of Awards and the actor who plays the role of Ram in this was awarded as Most Promising Talent of Tomorrow Award.

Ram: Ram is the hero of this epic tale.He is portrayed as an incarnation of the god Vishnu. He is the eldest and the favourite son of the King of Ayodhya, Dashrath.He is referred to as Maryada Purushottama, literally the Perfect Man.
Sita: Sita is the beloved wife of Ram and the daughter of king Janak.She is portrayed as an incarnation of the goddess Laxmi.Sita is the epitome of womanly purity and virtue.She follows her husband into exile.
